In a world filled with choices, many of us have become skilled at understanding the details of what we buy. Whether it’s comparing battery life, camera quality, fabric types, or design features, we pay close attention to the characteristics that help us make informed decisions. It’s a natural part of living in a time where information is abundant and technology evolves so quickly.
Much of what we learn about worldly things is temporary and soon replaced by newer updates or trends. But do we ever stop to think about the Names and attributes of Allah SWT who created all of this? As these are timeless—unbounded by change, reflecting attributes that guide and uplift the believer’s heart.
The Prophet ﷺ said, “Indeed, Allah has ninety-nine names—one hundred minus one—whoever enumerates them will enter Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 7392; Sahih Muslim 2677). These Names are not simply facts to memorize, but doorways to understanding Allah’s mercy, wisdom, compassion, justice, and countless other qualities.
By knowing our Creator, we develop a deeper sense of our Lord and increase in our gratitude. It’s a reminder that while the world evolves around us, the most meaningful knowledge remains beautifully constant.
